Registration Procedure

ACHIEVEMENT TESTING

National achievement testing will be administered to each kindergarten, elementary and middle school student in the spring of each school year.  The Blake School chooses to use the Stanford Achievement Test Series, Tenth Edition for testing purposes.  Scores for these tests will be shared with parents at the end of year conferences.

3 & 4 year olds

Applications for our preschool program are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Children must be three years of age by September 1st to enroll in preschool.

Kindergarten

Applications for Kindergarten students are accepted, if the child turns 5 by September 1.  Students will be evaluated by one of our Kindergarten teachers.

Elementary and Middle School

Applications for our elementary and middle school students will be considered for each school year, if space is available.  Achievement test scores and report cards will be reviewed, followed by a personal interview with administration.

When a class is full, applicants are placed on a waiting list in order of their application dates.  Returning and former students, their siblings, and those previously enrolled in another Montessori school have priority over new admissions.  An effort is made to balance the enrollment in each class according to sex and age.

 

If you would like to apply to either the preschool, the elementary school or middle school, fill out an application and return it with the $200 application fee.  We will place your child’s name on our waiting list and contact you if an opening occurs.

 

We cannot guarantee space to every applicant, so please apply as early as possible to increase your chances of admission.
