Alliance for a Healthier Generation

Alliance for a Healthier Generation

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation empowers kids to develop lifelong healthy habits by ensuring the environments that surround them provide and promote good health. More than 25 million children have been helped by the Alliance’s work with schools, communities and businesses across the country.

Founded in 2005 by the American Heart Association and William J. Clinton Foundation, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation has become the nation’s largest in-school, child obesity prevention initiative today serving more than 18 million children and over 31,000 schools in every state and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

There is no single cause and no single solution for childhood obesity.  As a result, the Alliance works to positively affect all the places that can make a difference in a child’s health including homes, schools, doctor’s offices and communities.

The Blake School received Bronze Recognition in 2012 and we continue to maintain Bronze Level to this date.  We are looking forward to continuing our association with The Alliance for a Healthier Generation and implementing new ideas to help keep The Blake School students, staff and family healthy.
