Our Middle School Curriculum

The Blake Middle School program is an integrated and challenging program, which utilizes a variety of teaching methods, supplemental materials, textbooks, workbooks, independent studies and student centered activities.

The curriculum encompasses the core subjects of:

Math: a. Basic math b. Pre-algebra c. Algebra d. Geometry Language Arts: a. Literature Novels b. Vocabulary c. Grammar d. Writing Social Studies: a. United States History b. World History c. World Culture

Science:

An in-depth science program that balances life, earth and physical content is utilized. It matches the state and local curriculum guidelines and meets the goals of the National Science Standards. Students will actively participate in laboratory experiments and field trips that incorporate a curriculum of physics, astronomy, biology, zoology and botany.

Computer Education:

consists of the students learning and/or practicing word processing skills and creating power-point presentations
